2010-2013 Québec Research and Innovation Strategy (QRIS)

The vision of the 2010-2103 Que?bec Research and Innovation Strategy (QRIS), pursues that of the first strategy. It stems from a well-thought- out prioritization that seeks to maximize the economic and social spinoffs from the Que?bec government’s investments.

This renewed vision is reflected in the consolidation of the past achievements of public research, the acceleration of innovation in Que?bec businesses, and the mobilization of stakeholders around promising projects for Que?bec society.

  • consolidate the QRIS’s past achievements and adjust certain measures in order to ensure that they produce the maximum benefits;
  • adopt a renewed approach and add new measures more closely centred priority sectors and major on developmental projects;
  • rely on our strengths to accelerate innovation in priority sectors and in businesses;
  • remain competitive with our partners and competitors;
  • help Que?bec achieve the lowest carbon footprint.

The 2010-2013 Que?bec Research and Innovation Strategy will allow us to better position Que?bec firms on promising markets. Moreover, it firmly commits Que?bec to the green economy, the economy of the future. The government intends to take full advantage of Que?bec’s know- how to encourage the development of projects in the realm of the clean technologies.
