New building standards for province (09/05/21)New building standards for province (09/05/21)FREDERICTON (CNB) – Proposed legislation introduced today would ensure a more consistent approach to building construction, resulting in safer homes and buildings. Public Safety Minister and Solicitor General John W. Foran introduced the New Brunswick Building Codes Act.

The act would set standards for building code administration, application, inspection, interpretation, enforcement, and education. As a result, it would rectify shortcomings in building standards throughout the province.
