BC MAKES CHNAGES TO POLICE COMPLAINT PROCESS, ACCOUNTABILITY STRENGTHENED

VICTORIA – A revised and expanded police complaint process will make it easier for the public to file complaints, investigators to process them thoroughly and the independent police complaint commissioner (PCC) to oversee the entire process as it progresses, Solicitor General John van Dongen said as he introduced the amended Police Act.
VICTORIA – The Province will bring the term length and reappointment provisions for the police complaint commissioner (PCC) into line with those of other officers of the legislature, Solicitor General John van Dongen announced as he introduced changes to the Police Act.
