McGuinty Government To Develop Adaptation Measures
Ontario has received expert advice on how to prepare and plan for the early effects of climate change.

Ontario’s Expert Panel on Climate Change Adaptation submitted its report, Adapting to Climate Change in Ontario. It will help the government develop strategies to reduce the potential impact of a changing climate.

The release of the report is timely as world leaders already struggling with climate change issues are meeting at the United Nations conference in Copenhagen.

The report’s 59 recommendations cover a broad range of measures. Designing bridges and roads to better withstand future severe weather events is just one example.
